Rakia accounts are created by your organization's administrator, so there is no self-service delete button in the app. You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time using the steps below.
In the app: open Settings → Delete Account on iPhone or Android to file the request with one tap. You'll get a confirmation email and can withdraw it from the same screen within 30 days.
How to request deletion
- Email cody@reachphone.co from the email address you use to sign in to Rakia, with the subject "Rakia data deletion request".
- Tell us whether you want your user account deleted, or your organization's entire workspace deleted. Workspace deletion must be requested by the workspace owner.
- We will confirm the request by replying to your sign-in email, then complete the deletion within 30 days and let you know when it is done.
Your organization's administrator can also remove you from the workspace at any time from the Team settings, which revokes your access to that workspace.
What is deleted
When your user account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your profile: name, email address, and avatar
- Your sign-in credentials and sessions
- Push notification tokens for your devices
- Your personal notification and app preferences
When a workspace is deleted, we additionally remove:
- All contacts saved in the workspace
- All text messages, media attachments, call logs, voicemail recordings, and transcripts
- Voicemail greetings, templates, blocked numbers, and business-hours settings
- The workspace's phone numbers, which are released back to the carrier
What is kept, and for how long
- Business communications. Messages, call logs, and voicemails belong to the organization's workspace, not to an individual user. When only your user account is deleted, those records remain in the workspace but are no longer linked to your name.
- Billing records. Invoices and payment history are retained for up to 7 years as required by tax and accounting law.
- Backups. Deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before it is purged.
- Carrier records. Our telephony provider retains call and message metadata under its own retention policy as required by telecommunications regulations.
